#LookBack | Mommy Me-Time + a Pine-Sol Giveaway!

I have been so busy. I don't think I've emphasized that enough on this blog, except that my absence has spoken loud and clear. I am burning out. Stressed. Exhausted. So much so that I often lock myself in my bedroom for a good 30 minutes or so when I get home from work. Or I pass out only to wake up in a panic because I spent too much time resting. Sigh.

Today, I am looking back at some rare "Me-Time" I have had (a number of months ago, oops, sorry, swamped!) courtesy of one of my favorite brands of all time - Pine-Sol. I find myself reminiscing about that day as Yaya J mopped the floor, and I took a whiff of that familiar and comforting scent of clean - nothing but Pine-Sol. The scent brought me back to Michelle's Pine-Sol event (thank you, Mish, for always, always thinking of me! I am beyond blessed to call you my friend), and I remember my draft and decided I'd write this piece all over again (well, edit, because you know, no time, hehe).

So yes, a number of months ago, Mish invited me to her Pine-Sol event for some much-needed me-time. You know just how much I needed it, but fate would have it that I couldn't make it to the yoga event (I had to bring RL to his bus stop around the same time the first part of the event started). And well, exercise and I aren't really friends, hehe. The girls were treated to a yoga session under Joanne Santos.

I caught up with the girls right before they had brunch. The room was decked with Pine-Sol products. We've always used Pine-Sol Lemon. I actually hoard the stuff because we have pets, and it gets really stinky at home.

My boss, Mickey, can be a pain. He likes marking his territory.

I was pleased to know that Pine-Sol in the Philippines now has five scents available - Original Pine, Lemon Fresh, Orange Energy, Lavender Clean (my favorite!) and the NEW! Sparkling Wave.

We were treated to a healthy brunch, and learned more about Pine-Sol from my former officemate, and now Brand Manager for Pine-Sol, Renelle Revilla Delos Santos. Renelle stressed on how Pine-Sol allows moms more me-time with Pine-Sol actually being an all-purpose cleaner that is easy on the budget? Here is why most moms use Pine-Sol vs other leading brands:

PINE-SOL IS CONCENTRATED | Nope, it isn't watered down. It is perfect either diluted or full-strength. When diluted for general cleaning, a 500ml bottle of Pine-Sol can give you 33 liters of cleaning power!

PINE-SOL IS A MULTI-SURFACE, MULTI-FUNCTION CLEANER | You only need Pine-Sol to clean your furniture, toilet, floors, counters and appliances. No need to spend extra money on separate cleaners because Pine-Sol can clean all that plus more!

PINE-SOL CLEANS, DISINFECTS AND DEODORIZES | Pine-Sol is synonymous to clean. Say goodbye to the hospital smell of strong cleaning liquids at home. Clean your home and let it smell good, too! I swear, this is the best-smelling cleaning agent I have ever, ever used.

PINE-SOL POWER AT YOUR CONTROL | Different strokes for different folks. Different strengths for different Pine-Sol users. Unlike a premixed spray, you can mix Pine-Sol with water at strengths of your liking.

PINE-SOL WORKS WITHOUT ANY SPECIAL TOOLS | You do not need a specific sponge, rag or mop. Pine-Sol will work with anything, even with paper towels or that tattered, old shirt.

PINE-SOL CLEANS IN AN INSTANT | No need to clean over and over again. Clean once and be assured that Pine-Sol got the job done. Yay! More me-time!

TIP FROM KAYE | Did you know that flies and other insects hate the scent of Pine-Sol? In a spray bottle, make a 50/50 solution of Regular Pine-Sol and water, and spray onto garbage bins, door frames, windows, etc to keep flies out.

While we were having brunch, Mish invited Sofitel's in-house nutritionist, Agnes Tumaneng RND, to speak on (you guessed it) proper nutrition. She also taught us moms on how we can manage our food intake to maintain, gain or lose weight.

After which, Dr. Jade Cada, Vietura Spa's in-house aesthetic doctor, came up to discuss easy ways to detox on your own.

Overall, it was a great time with fellow moms and bloggers who needed time away from the hustle and bustle of life. I was so glad I went. Thank you, Mish! Thank you, Pine-Sol!
