VeggieTales at House of Praise!

We've had numerous requests to bring in VeggieTales, but the International label handling the product for the Christian Market has lost their international distribution rights. Alas, no Christian products in the Philippines for this popular series for kids.

I've been trying to convince the label to sell us some toys for our stores. At least, give the kids an alternative to Barney and all those characters our there. After numerous attempts, they finally agreed!

There is a good reason why I love Citipointe LIVE. Back in 2009, right in the middle of the R Controversy, I went touring with this group from Brisbane, Australia. It was their first time in the Philippines, and they went around Cebu, Bacolod, Dumaguete and Manila.

I've been working for Praise for almost 5 years already. I must admit I was reluctant at first, as I've always done better with food products. But this is God's business, and our family's ministry. It's awesome to see God work in the hearts of people through music. My dad's dream was to unite all churches through Christian Music. When at first, it seemed impossible; Today, our music is being sung for mass and worship services alike. When my daughter came home one day excited to announce that they sang "One Way" (Hillsong United) for First Friday Mass, in a conservative Catholic school at that, I knew we were achieving purpose. I am honored to be part of His mission.

So, my officemate D (for Dugong! LOL!) was supposed to pick winners Monday morning. Turns out he was on leave for the long weekend (oops), and I didn't want anyone else to do the honors. So we moved the draw to today.

Lull-A-Bye Baby Giveaway!

My kids grew up listening to lullabies... I remember when KY was still a baby, I found her a copy of Disney Baby Lullaby and the whole family learned the songs - songs I actually sing now to my little ones.

Lately though, with RL most especially, I find it safer to just hum. My little boy doesn't like words in his lullabies. He tends to get up and sing along. LOL! So I just hum. And it lulls him to sleep.

So it was a blessing in disguise to discover this new Lull-A-Bye series from House of Praise! These are instrumental melodies of worship, praise and hymns that come with that soothing music box sound. Perfect for my little boy! I loved this series so much, I gave them to my cousin H for her little girl's baby shower, and she just loves the CDs, too! Her dad even wants them for his home! Think spa and relaxing. Yes, this set's a gem of a find!

Each CD is sold separately but the series has 3 different genres - Worship, Praise and Hymns (they actually also have one for Christmas, but that comes out during the -ber months only). Retails for P395 each, each CD is a steal for the peace and quiet it brings to the home.
