My Little Pony at McDonald's!

Look, kids! My Little Pony is back at McDonald's! I... er... my daughter A is soooo excited (in case I haven't told you yet, she collects Littlest Pet Shop toys and includes My Little Pony to the bunch, hehe). Yesterday, the little boy went to McDonald's to take home dinner. When he got home, he proudly announced that he got himself a Happy Meal (because there's a new set available). He mentioned My Little Pony, so I expected My Little Pony, only to find out that he chose a 2-in-1 Bandai vehicle (of course!).

Richwell's Kids Craze 2013

Wow. I can't believe I missed the first day of Kids Craze this year. I have been soooo busy that all these sale and event schedules just flew out the window. So anyway, if you want to catch Kids Craze this year, their warehouse sale schedule is as follows:

Guess who's back at McDonald's?! Oh yes, happy-happy, joy-joy! It's Hello Kitty!

Just yesterday, after I driving-thru for brunch at McDonald's, I wondered about the next toy for their Happy Meal. RL tries to collect all the toys for boys, while A would occasionally collect the girl toys if she is into it. The previous Happy Meal had Barbie for girls, and she was never into the doll.

When I got to the office, I saw McDonald's making the announcement on their Facebook Page - it's Hello Kitty and VooV for this month's Happy Meal!

So guess who will be having McDonald's everyday for the next week or so? LOL!

Mondays.

I left my mobile phone at home. Bah! What a way to start the week. But all is good. I actually feel good today. I have no idea what's different. I just woke up telling myself it's going to be a great week.

Do you ever get that feeling? I mean, waking up on Monday and just knowing how the rest of the week is going to be?

I worked this weekend. I thought I'd catch up with pending stuff and found myself actually enjoying the time I spent juggling between encoding new releases and watching "The Lucky One" on rewind (that's because I kept going back to scenes I missed while filling out information sheets, haha).

It's mighty quiet at home, what with A spending the summer at my folks' and RL pretending he is the only child. Leave him with his Lego kits, and you're sure to find loads of peace and quiet - that is, until he gets tired (and mind you, this little boy gets bored easily, but yes, we're working on his patience).

Saturday. We were supposed to head out to BGC for "Chak the Walk" but A decided she didn't want to go (because it had rained hard in our area and she wanted to be home when my siblings get home from Boracay) and RL just wanted to stay in bed (after spending most of his morning and afternoon at Trumpets). He actually slept through the rest of the day, getting up at 10pm to get dinner then played with his LEGO sets until the end of the movie (and encoding).

Sunday. I had to check on the new girl manning our Greenhills store. We were late for the 2 o'clock service and pretty early for the 4 o'clock. I guess all the waiting got to RL as he ended up sleeping in big church! Oops. At the last minute, and because it wasn't as traffic yesterday (compared to Friday and Saturday's mall sale traffic), I took RL to Rockwell after church to catch the last day of Make Your Own Havaianas 2013. Yes, yes, I know, a late notice to you readers. I was planning on blogging about it before the actual event (like I always do), but I got caught up with work. Last week was mighty crazy!

I wanted to get lime green flip flops (as it is the closest color to anything flou) but they ran out of the soles! I suppose I should start going on the first day. Two years ago, I had won tickets to their pre-event and got A and I the colors we had wanted. I ended up getting dark gray slims with lime green straps and a hot air balloon to commemorate this year's MYOH. Beautiful pair! I'm not quite sure if A will like hers. She wasn't with us yesterday, since she opted to sit this year out. But I got her purple ones with amethyst straps and a bicycle pin, since that's what she's been doing all summer - bike (and swim).

RL was proud with our finished work, he gladly posed with our loot. Oh, we used our Citibank Card and got a 10% discount! I would have gotten more, only A's enrollment is this week and we're on a super strict budget.

So, I forgot all about finishing this post earlier. Mondays always mean more work, especially since my brother moved to corporate and I'm struggling two positions. In the meantime, remember what I said about knowing today would be a great day (as with the rest of the week)?

Well, today I got blessed with an early birthday gift! Thank you, Mike and Mitchelle!

Then my bff J told me she was coming over tonight with a surprise from her mom (I'm guessing some Durian! So do watch out, neighbors!). It isn't even my birthday until the end of the month!  And you know how enrollment's this week? I found out from my daughter that tuition this year is a whopping __ thousand pesos!!! Excuse the blank, but I do not want you rolling your eyes asking me why. But see, I didn't even have time to worry about getting the money. Yesterday, I had to get money from the ATM and lo and behold, when I checked to see how much I had, I realized God was way ahead of me. Half of our 13th month pay got deposited early, and I already have enough to cover the first installment for tuition! And I think I can come up with enough cash to cover books, supplies and uniforms. Isn't God grand?

I am feeling the love! Thank you, friends! Thank You, Lord!

Kids Craze 2012!

The Richwell 2012 Kids Craze starts today, November 23!

Like last year, I managed to get myself on the guest list for yesterday's private sale. Thanks to my dad for getting in touch with Auntie MY! But because my little RL is sick and we had to go see the doctor, I got to the warehouse late. Well, not exactly too late, but later than I had originally planned.

I was supposed to take photos of the facade, but ended up forgetting to do so, as the baranggay boys asked me to move because of traffic. Oh well. The building is currently under construction, and the place is pretty dusty (even the folks from Richwell think so, as they were mostly in masks while arranging their sale items). But because there weren't too many people inside the warehouse, I think we shopped and got out pretty fast.

Richwell's Kids Craze opens today, November 23, at 1:00PM. Expect long lines as people really trek to this sale. There weren't a lot of seconds (returned items, broken boxes, loose items) to choose from, but Richwell has placed a lot of their nice toys on 50% off. The warehouse is small compared to the one in Libis, so don't expect too many items. There weren't a lot of Step 2/ Chicco items on display (unlike previously, in Libis, where they alloted pallets for these). They did have a nice, brand new Step 2 play house on sale for P10,000!

The warehouse space is a little bigger than last year, because they opened an upper floor display for seconds and shoes.

My daughter isn't into Barbie, so I skipped those displays. I did notice that they didn't have any of those without boxes, unlike last year. RL wanted to get everything Chuggington (Mega Bloks) and Thomas, and he kept stuffing the bag with toys. I ended up getting a couple of Zoobles for A as they were on Sale at 50% off.  Richwell has some Tonka toys and a lot of Rose Art items on 50% off as well.

I managed to get RL a SpongeBob scooter for P800. Originally P1299 (I think, unless I heard wrong) but marked down because the store-it clip for one of the handles is broken. The box is also broken, but overall, the scooter is new and works. So RL was one happy shopper.

And do bring (or wear) mosquito repellent because there were gigantic mosquitoes yesterday! Best to be prepared. If you feel like you need a lot of time to shop, bring a friend to help you fall in line. You guys can tag team (line-up while the other shops and vise versa)! They provide huge shopping bags (in spite of the NO PLASTIC ordinance in QC) so no need to bring disposable bags. But do be a responsible shopper and bring one (or more!). Hehehe.

We've had numerous requests to bring in VeggieTales, but the International label handling the product for the Christian Market has lost their international distribution rights. Alas, no Christian products in the Philippines for this popular series for kids.

I've been trying to convince the label to sell us some toys for our stores. At least, give the kids an alternative to Barney and all those characters our there. After numerous attempts, they finally agreed!

Transformers and Littlest Pet Shop at McDonald's this month! I hope I get to collect 'em all!

I am soooo excited! McDonald's just changed their Happy Meal toys and they're having Transformers and Littlest Pet Shop this month. I am telling you, I don't care about what's left of my budget this month (and yes, even when I had promised I wasn't going to eat out for lunch this week), I am going to complete this set!

Noticed how I skipped blogging about last month's Happy Meal? Not that Barbie didn't interest me, but I was gunning for the Hot Wheels set, only I forgot to buy more Happy Meals after getting one vehicle. Oops!

This time though, I shall not forget!

RL Funnies: A Phineas and Ferb Adventure!

I had used GCs to purchase Phineas and Ferb toys for the little boy. RL loves imaginative play. You can hand him a figurine, a car, even a pencil and eraser and they all come to life with his imagination!

Tonight was no different! I caught him playing with Phineas, Ferb, Perry and Dr. Doofenshmirtz!

RL: "Let's go, Ferb! I'll race you to the 'suffin'! Last one to the 'suffin' is the loser!"
K: (Interrupting) "What's a 'suffin'? Is it their base?"
RL: (Stops to look at me) "No."
K: "Their spaceship?"
RL: "No."
K: "Their home?"
RL: "Noooo."
K: "The planet they created?"
RL: (Irritated now) "Noooooo!"
K: "Then what's a 'suffin'?"
RL: (Points to his side of the bed) "This one is the 'suffin', you know so the bed doesn't get wet when I make wiwi!"

Ay anak! Sapin! LOL!

Plush Hoarder! (Part I)

I once took a pic of RL's room (which has somehow turned into a mini-playroom of sorts).

See, we don't live in a big house. The place we currently occupy is a decent, albeit tiny, townhouse somewhere in North QC. The best thing about this place is that we currently pay zero rent, as this place was up for sale, but my uncle decided to just let me stay in it for free. Yes, thank You, Lord, for my Uncle/ Ninong V, who thinks about me and my kids.

Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, I once took a pic of RL's room, so I can show it to a friend. The photo later turned into a full-blown discussion on the number of Plush toys we have managed to collect all these years. Folks, when I say collect, I mean accumulate, and not just a pile but several piles.

Let me show you how much.

If you think these are a lot, you should see the ones in the Attic. Stored in crates, boxes, comforter bags, regular bags, etc. I didn't have time to take photos earlier. So I shall write a second post on this. 

How'd we manage to collect this much? Well, my kids often go to Timezone, and they (we!) always win plush toys from the crane game. My youngest brother also donated his stash to my kids when they moved from the old condo to their new place.

I think we have more plush toys than clothes. Really, I think we do.
