Yes, not this month, but in April!

I don't know about you, but this is definitely great, great news for me. I stayed up all night for a bento party order, and I haven't had any sleep. Here I was thinking I'd be staying up again all the wee hours of the morning, but nay... so, YAY! 

And they've confirmed that they will be implementing EARLY BIRD TREATS from March 12 to April 1 - dates they've initially announced as their BIG DEALS SALE! 

S&R would also like to announce that during the MARCH BIG DEALS/ EARLY BIRD TREATS sale period, items that are placed on sale will already have the same discount as when Members' Treat happens. In other words, there will be no further discount for these items during Members' Treat. So better buy them early when you can. Last year, I missed out on a number of things because I thought they'd be priced lower during Members' Treat.

So yes, GREAT NEWS INDEED! Just when I was doing so great with my buying ban. LOL! I am really going to S&R with a strict shopping list and cash. But then on second thought, maybe not. I just saw their revised Members' Treat deals, and my list is already two pages long! Wahaha! At least there's still time to save up! Good luck to me!

Finally... Smoovlatté!

We first discovered Nescafé's Smoovlatté in Hong Kong. I had needed coffee to soothe a pressing headache. So the kids and I walked into a 7-Eleven and saw it sitting on the chiller shelf. Didn't think it would be anything special, but surprisingly, it was true to its name. Smooth and good!

We took a couple of bottles back to Manila. I gave one to KC, my brother's coffee-addict friend, who stocks up on canned Nescafé coffee by the box. He loves his canned ready-to-drink coffee, yet asked for a bottle of Smoovlatté when I claimed (in a shout out on IG) that this one was way, way better than anything in a can. Haha, me and my big mouth.

So we've been hoarding these lately. So far, the supermarkets don't have it... YET. Heard though that Rustan's got it recently (unconfirmed), but so far, no luck at the big stores. Smoovlatté comes in a 190ml bottle and retails for P39.00 at Mini Stop. The best part is... this whole bottle is only 110 Calories! I've been keeping tabs on Calories lately, and have been trying to keep my daily intake to a maximum of 1,000 kcal. So this ain't so bad.

My first bottle in Manila! After waiting just a couple of months. Yay!

Now please don't go lecturing me about coffee. I am no coffee connoisseur, and I will not claim to be one. I don't even drink a lot of coffee, and have actually limited my coffee drinking to about twice a week (health consequences). This is just something I felt I could share to my readers, because... well, it's good. And we were really glad to see this available in the market.

Mr. Peabody and Sherman at McDonald's! #Happinessinabox

RL and his "bro"

We saw the trailer of Mr. Peabody and Sherman during a recent movie we caught at the theatres. When RL saw it, he knew he wanted to catch it. Not because it's a cartoon, but mainly because it's a dog movie - my son has this special affinity to dogs. His relationship with our Shih Tzu, Mickey, goes beyond that of a boy and his dog. They are more like brothers, really. In fact, the dog thinks he's top dog and superior to RL. He has serious insecurity and territory issues when it comes to the boy. But don't tell him I told you that. Haha!

So he, and I mean the boy, was so excited to see that McDonald's is featuring Mr. Peabody and Sherman for their Happy Meal this month.

Only 6 toys to collect this time, but we're ecstatic that they're mostly puzzles! RL loves puzzles and mazes!

I haven't had the chance to take photos of what RL already has, but I will do so when I get home tonight! The mazes take him away from the iPad - good ol' clean fun. I enjoy these toys, too, as they remind me of those from my childhood - blast from the past! 

Meanwhile, if you haven't seen the trailer of Mr. Peabody and Sherman yet, here's the extended one. I think it's a great movie that will introduce a little snippet of history to kids. Wouldn't you want to get on the WABAC and travel through time? 

Catch Mr. Peabody and Sherman in theaters this month! And don't forget to visit McDonald's with the kids, and get them perfect souvenirs for your movie date!
