#OishiOWow | Oishi Snacktacular 2015!

A few weeks back, I got an invite from my friend Rowena to check out Oishi's Snacktacular 2015. I held off posting this blog recap because I had wanted to upload a full video of #KathNiel's duet of "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" on YouTube. Alas, YouTube kept my upload pending for the longest time. Must be publishing issues on the song. Oh well. Sorry, #KathNiel fans. My bad. I finally got around to getting the videos published today. Yay!

Anyway, I've always wanted to catch Oishi's Snacktacular. Thank you, Ro, for inviting me!

Didi and I had planned to meet up on that last day of this year's Snacktacular. We were initially invited to go earlier, but had already made other plans. Good thing they still accommodated us on the last day. It was the day when #KathNiel (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, only the most popular teen love team in the country today), endorsers of the Oishi brand, were scheduled to grace the event. Regardless, Didi and I agreed to brave the crowd.

This year's Snacktacular had a lot of activities for the loyal Oishi fan - the Snack Shack, the Make Your Own Snack, etc. The crowd favorite was the newest and coolest activity - the Snack Catcher! Think UFO Catcher, only human-sized!

We got to the Trinoma Activity Center just in time to catch the afternoon show, where Oishi's Team O, led by Elmo Magalona, entertained the crowd with special numbers.

The place was packed.

Everyone was waiting excitedly for #KathNiel.

Oishi also introduced their newest endorser and member of Team O, Alex Gonzaga!

Welcome to Team O, Alex!

Here's a video of Alex as she tried this year's main attraction - the Oishi Snack Catcher!

Everyone started shrieking when Daniel Padilla came out to sing!

Yup, Daniel, nasa 'yo na ang lahat! Look at those swooning fans!

Even more so when Kathryn joined the fun. They sang "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now."

Oishi did right in choosing #KathNiel. They are sure crowd-drawers! A & R were captivated by this duo as well.

After the show, we went around with the kids and checked out the activities. First stop was of course, the Snack Catcher! I tried this with Didi, but I shall post only the videos of the kids (haha, nakakahiya!). You can watch Didi's video of her doing the Snack Catcher on her blog post. Thank you, Didi, for encouraging me to try the Snack Catcher. I swear, I wouldn't have tried this if you weren't game! Didi caught 61 Oishi snack packs. I got 59. A got 31 packs, because she forgot to use her legs! LOL!

Thank you, Didi, for taking A's video!

The little boy didn't want to do the Snack Catcher at first. But after reassuring him that it was fine, even if he didn't get a single piece, he finally decided to give it a try. RL got 21 snack bags. The ones on his legs didn't make it down the chute. Ooops.  Excuse the stage momma screaming instructions and coaching on this video... Hehe. I am so proud of you for doing this, baby!

After the Snack Catcher, we went around to check out the other activities.

Didi and I with our loot! The giant Rinbee is from the Snack Shack - an activity where you can fill up a giant bag with as much Oishi product as you wish for only P295!

The kids were eager to make their own Oishi Snacks! Omnomnom!

Overall, it was a fun-filled day! Thank you, Oishi, for 40 years of great Filipino snacks! We are excited to see what else you have in-store for us and the next generation of snack-lovers!

Showing off our loot! Thank you so much, Oishi!
